Alaska Pre/Post Cruise Trip to Talkeetna
Day 1
After disembarking from your cruise ship, you will be driven by private transfer to Talkeetna, approximately five hours from Seward along the beautiful Seward Highway. Along the way, you’ll stop to view wildlife at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and at Hotel Alyeska take a ride up the aerial tram to the summit of Mt. Day 2
On an unforgettable Mt. McKinley flightseeing adventure, you’ll enter a world of rugged mountain peaks and wide glacier-filled valleys. Experience the Great Gorge (the world’s deepest), the Kahiltna Glacier, and other highlights of Denali National Park—including a glacier landing. In the afternoon, join a jet boat tour to travel into the wilderness on the Talkeetna, Chulitna, and Susitna rivers. Day 3
Travel to Anchorage with two special stops along the way. At Happy Trails Kennel, you’ll meet sled dogs, talk with a four-time Iditarod champion, and experience a demonstration run. Next, you’ll visit the homestead and studio of Jon Van Zyle, one of Alaska’s most renowned artists. In Anchorage, explore and enjoy dinner on your own at one of our recommended restaurants.
