This 6-day/ 5-night sky trekking adventure focuses on Prince William Sound, whose shorelines are heavily indented by deep fiords and small bays, and Wrangell-St. Elias National Park—the largest in the United States (six times the size of Yellowstone!). You’ll fly over Montague Island, explore a mine miraculously constructed in a setting more remote than the jungles of the Amazon, and hike in pristine surroundings. Finally, a day trip out to the Katmai Coast provides great opportunities for wild bear viewing. The area is seldom visited, and on one trip, guests saw more than 50 bears! Accommodations include both the casual, beautifully situated Kennicott Glacier Lodge and luxurious Hotel Alyeska, tucked amid the Chugach Mountains just 40 miles south of Anchorage.
