This 8-day/ 7-night trip focuses on the great cities of eastern Canada—Toronto, Montréal, and Québec City. With the use of a rental car, you’ll make your own way from place to place, while within each city, private guided tours will ensure you learn about the history and see all the highlights. A separate, chauffeur-driven vehicle facilitates a day trip to Niagara Falls and Canada’s major wine-producing region, the Niagara Peninsula.

Road Trip Through Canada’s East Coast

Day 1
Upon arrival at the airport in Toronto, you will be met and transferred to your hotel downtown. Start exploring on your own before an incredible dinner—Toronto is renowned for its multiculturalism and fine cuisine, so you’ll have plenty of choices! Accommodations are at the Four Seasons Hotel in a Deluxe King Room.

Day 2
Meet your driver and guide for a full day outing to Niagara Falls. View the Falls from the boardwalk, then take a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist for an up-close experience. Finally, be awed on a private helicopter sightseeing flight over the Falls. Stop on the way back to visit world-class wineries in charming Niagara-on-the-Lake. Accommodations are at the Four Seasons Hotel in a Deluxe King Room.

Day 3
Visit a couple of Toronto attractions—perhaps the CN Tower, Skydome, Royal Ontario Museum or Yonge Street—before picking up your rental car for the 5.5-hour drive to Montréal. Spend your evening strolling on nearby Sainte-Catherine Street, which boasts a number of boutiques and restaurants. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth in a Junior Suite.

Day 4
Explore Old Montréal on foot with your private guide. Learn about more than 360 years of history as you wander the cobblestone streets to Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Secours Chapel, City Hall, Notre Dame Basilica, the commercial Saint-Paul Street, the Old Port and more. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth in a Junior Suite.

Day 5
Enjoy a day in Montréal on your own. Consider visits to Mount Royal, Olympic Stadium, Expo 67 sites, the F1 circuit, various ethnic neighbourhoods, or the Montréal Underground. Alternatively, let us organize a private culinary tour for you that visits the birthplace of the bagel as we see it (no, it’s not New York…). Accommodations are at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth in a Junior Suite.

Day 6
Make your way from Montréal to historic Québec City today, a three-hour drive. There, start exploring on your own—check out the shops and boutiques, visit the Citadel, dine in one of the fine restaurants or improvise a picnic on the Plains of Abraham. You might also wish to take a half-day excursion to Côte de Beaupré. Accommodations are at Fairmont Château Frontenac in a Deluxe Riverview Room.

Day 7
Enjoy a private guided tour of Old Québec City, a place of mellowed stone buildings, horse-drawn carriages and narrow winding streets. Discover Place d’Armes, the Latin Quarter, Basilica, City Hall, Quartier Petit Champlain, Place Royale, and more. Accommodations are at Fairmont Château Frontenac in a Deluxe Riverview Room.

Day 8
Drop off your rental car at the Québec airport in time for your outgoing flight. Safe travels!
