This 8-day/ 7-night ski holiday offers five days of skiing or snowboarding on Mont Tremblant—named #1Ski Resort in Eastern North America seven of the last eight years by Ski Magazine readers. With an optimum average snowfall and small-scale mountains (compared to the intimidating Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains in B.C. or Banff/Lake Louise in the Rockies), Tremblant is perfect for families who want a low profile, fun and secure ski weekend together. The pedestrian village itself is a charming place to wander, with plenty of great restaurants, shops, galleries, and cafés. Cheese fondue is a must! Let us organize and price your ski trip from one of two terrific hotels—the Hotel Quintessence and Fairmont Tremblant.
Luxury Ski Holidays Mont Tremblant
Day 1
Upon your arrival at the airport in Montréal, your driver will meet you for the scenic 1.5-hour drive through the Laurentian Mountains to the resort of Mont Tremblant. Tonight, take a walk around the village and explore its boutiques, galleries and restaurants.
Days 2-7
Enjoy five days of skiing on Mont Tremblant, the highest mountain in the Laurentians at 915 metres or 2,745 feet. Tremblant is home to the largest ski area in eastern Canada, with one of the most efficient snowmaking systems in North America and a renowned ski school. With 92 trails on 4 sides (its longest is 6 km, or 3.75 miles, long) and 13 comfortable lifts including the Express Gondola, Mont Tremblant offers slopes for all levels of skiers, from beginners to experts, on more than 610 acres of terrain benefiting from an average natural snowfall of 3.82 m (13 ft). Snowboarders will want to try the Parc Gravité, an 18-acre area devoted to ramps, curves, jumps and a 130 m (390 ft) long, 6 m (18 ft) high Olympic-class super half pipe.
The Tremblant Snow School focuses on personalized training, with no more than seven persons per class (or opt for private lessons). A 2-acre learning area called Equilibre (“Balance”) is reserved for beginner skiers and snowboarders. The area features two “magic carpets”, artificial snowmaking and a heated restaurant-tent where children registered in the Snow School can enjoy lunch in a comfortable place.
A host of other activities round off the list of winter sports that can be enjoyed in this vast winter playground: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice climbing, dog sledding and more.
Day 8
Relax during the scenic drive back to Montréal Airport. Safe travels!
