Starting in Fairbanks, you’ll ride Alaska Rail in luxury to Denali where you’ll explore the park and its inhabitants, reveling in the majestic mountain peaks. The Itinerary

1 | FAIRBANKS, AK

Upon your arrival at the Fairbanks Airport, you will board a shuttle to your hotel. Sitting on the Chena River in Fairbanks, Pike’s Waterfront Lodge is ideally positioned for exploring Fairbanks or simply enjoying the river views from the comfort of your room. Accommodations are at the Pike’s Waterfront Lodge in a Deluxe River View Room.

2 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

This morning your shuttle will transfer to the Railway Station, where you board your GoldStar Dome Train for the Denali National Park entrance. The double-deck railcar features a glass-covered observation deck that is the first of its kind in the world, offering jaw-dropping views. You will be met at the park entrance and board the Denali Backcountry Lodge bus for a scenic journey through Denali National Park to the lodge. Accommodations are at the Denali Backcountry Lodge in a Creekside Cabin.

3 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

Explore Denali National Park today, with or without expert guides. You may wish to hike the nearby trails and observe wildlife and flora native to the Kantishna Hills. If you want to get your heart racing, hop on a mountain bike and tear through the park or enjoy a leisurely pedal to spectacular Wonder Lake. If you’re a shutterbug, Denali offers endless photo ops, courtesy of its dramatic mountain peaks and meadows. Accommodations are at Denali Backcountry Lodge in a Cabin.

4 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

Mid-morning you’ll meet your pilot for a scenic flight tour over Denali National Park. Soar over the North Face of Denali and a number of side glaciers. Denali National Park & Preserve features North America’s highest peak, 20,320-foot tall Denali, and you have a front-row seat! Enjoy another trip on the Alaska Railway GoldStar Dome Train to Anchorage, where a private SUV will transport you to your hotel. Accommodations are at Hotel Captain Cook.

5 | KACHEMAK BAY, AK

Today your driver will meet you at your hotel for your private SUV transfer to Lake Hood. Your scenic floatplane journey is a mix of jaw-dropping coastal and mountain vistas. Once you’re settled, take some time to explore the lodge and surrounding area. Located amongst the pristine wilderness on Kachemak Bay, take some time to explore your surroundings before enjoying a gourmet lunch. Accommodations are at the Tutka Bay Lodge in a Cabin.

6 | KACHEMAK BAY, AK

Today you have the choice between three optional excursions: Bear viewing provides a glimpse into the life of Alaskan brown bears, and includes a flight-see over dramatic and jaw-dropping scenery. Deep sea fishing takes you to Homer, the ‘Halibut Fishing Capital of the World’, where your catch will be cleaned and filleted for you to take home. Finally, you may wish to partakein a helicopter adventure, accessing remote streams, ridges and waterways for hiking, wildlife viewing or trekking across glaciers. Accommodations are at the Tutka Bay Lodge in a Cabin.

7-8 | KACHEMAK BAY, AK

Today you may select from the endless supply of lodge-based activities. Options include wildlife viewing, cooking classes, yoga, stretch classes, beach combing, nature walks, kayaking and rowing. You may wish to sit on the dock and drink in the views, watching for shore and water birds, sea otters, or even orca or Humpback whales. Accommodations are at Tutka Bay Lodge in a Cabin.

After a hearty breakfast you’ll board your seaplane transfer from Tutka Bay Lodge to Lake Hood, in Anchorage. From Lake Hood a private SUV transfer will deliver you to the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Safe travels!
