The Itinerary

1-3 | COOPER LANDING, AK

Upon arrival at the Anchorage International Airport, you will board the Kenai Riverside Lodge shuttle service for your shared scenic transfer to the Kenai Riverside Lodge, Coopers Landing. Upon arrival you will receive a tour of lodge grounds and shown to your private cabins. Shortly after, you will be met by the Fishing Program Director to discuss your stay and particularly your days of fishing. Accommodations are at the Kenai Riverside Lodge.

The upper Kenai River, nestled in the heart of the Kenai Mountains between Kenai Lake and Skilak Lake, offers some of Alaska’s finest catch and release trophy rainbow trout and Dolly Varden fishing. This special non-motorized section of river flows through the beautiful mountain backdrop of the Chugach National Forest and the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Accommodations are at the Kenai Riverside Lodge.

4 | REDOUBT BAY LODGE, AK

Today a shuttle transfer will return you to Anchorage, where you will board a floatplane bound for Redoubt Bay Lodge. With one of the densest bear populations in the state, you’ll enjoy a day of scheduled brown bear viewing and fishing. See bears up close as they fish for salmon (even the best fishermen can’t compete with the claws of these quick beasts). Accommodations are at the Redoubt Bay Lodge.

5-6 | TALKEETNA, AK

Today you’ll board a return floatplane to Anchorage, where your driver is waiting. A private Sedan transfer along the scenic Seward Highway offers impressive views, including the coastline of stunning Turnagain Arm. A stop at Happy Trails Kennel will put you face-to-face with professional sled dogs, where you’ll learn about mushing and the historic Iditarod Race. Cuddles are optional but recommended. Accommodations are at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

This morning you’ll set out on a five-hour private fishing adventure. You will experience Alaska’s finest river fishing—and some of the best in the world. The afternoon we’ll send you soaring (literally!) into the mountains of Denali National Park on a private helicopter hiking adventure. Today is all about adrenaline, and you’ll find it reeling in a prize fish and racing through the skies. Accommodations are at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

7-8 | ANCHORAGE, AK

The morning you will spend back on the Talkeetna River, casting your line and waiting for a bite. Part of the Susitna River drainage system, the Talkeetna River boasts the second largest run of migrating fish in the world. Fish for Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden and Arctic grayling. This afternoon you’ll take to the skies once again, soaring over the Denali summit and even landing on an ancient glacier. Accommodations are at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

Today your driver will meet you for your return journey to Anchorage, dropping you off at the Anchorage International Airport in time for your flight home. Safe travels!
