Travel Advisory – Alaska Wildfires

ALASKA WILDFIRES – CURRENT ADVISORY – Moderate Impact to Travelers

August 20, 2019 – We’re saddened to share that there are multiple active wildfires in Alaska.  During the summer months travelers in Alaska may experience reduced visibility and air quality due to forest fire smoke from nearby forest fires.  Levels will vary from area to area, depending on the wind direction and intensity of the fire.  As of the date of writing, highways and road systems are being affected due to fires, please refer to Alaska 511 for the most up-to-date information.

For exact locations and gravity of the fires, you may wish to refer to Alaska’s Wildfire’s Status Map.

Our guests’ health and wellness is paramount and we wish to provide all the information possible prior to travel to ensure they are well informed. As such, our Operations team is routinely checking in with suppliers across Alaska to ensure up-to-date information is collected and shared with the public.  We will continue to update our Travel Advisories as information becomes available. In addition to updating our Travel Advisories as information becomes available, our Operations Team tracks all trips and reaches out directly to guests who may be impacted.

Kind Regards,

The Entrée Alaska team
