This full-day adventure is perfect for the sea-lover. Beginning in Vancouver, your private seaplane charter will deliver you to the Robson Bight Ecological Reserve. A short lesson will acquaint you with kayaking in these waters, then you’re off to paddle the shores of Robson Bight. The region has been legally designated a critical habitat for Northern Resident Killer Whales. As such, keep a respectful distance from these majestic creatures. Watch as they feed, socialize and use rubbing beaches to scratch their bellies. After paddling Robson Bight a private seaplane will pick you up and deliver you to Alert Bay, where a salmon barbeque is set up on the beach for lunch. After lunch spend some time learning about the U’mista people and Kwakwaka’wakw culture, with a visit to the U’mista Cultural Centre. Admire the masks and artwork which tell the story of the Kwakwaka’wakw culture, both past and present. After your tour, a private one-hour seaplane ride will deliver you back to downtown Vancouver.
Price is based on a group of four. Please note this experience requires a private charter aircraft. This journey must be booked in conjunction with hotel accommodation.
