1 | EDMONTON, AB

After driving to your hotel in Edmonton’s ICE District, a 10-hectare (25-acre) sports and entertainment hub,you’re free to explore at your leisure. We recommend a day of play at West Edmonton Mall, the biggest shopping mall in North America, where you can pick up souvenirs, brave the world’s largest indoor wave pool, and ride exhilarating roller coasters. In the evening, get to know the ICE District – home to Rogers Place arena, a sprawling winter garden, and award-winning eateries. Accommodations are at the JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District in an Executive Deluxe King Room.

2 | EDMONTON, AB

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then drive to Métis Crossing, an interpretive site that shares the history and culture of the Métis people through intimate conversation and traditional foods such as “bufloo” (bison). Here, you’ll participate in a guided cultural experience on 207 hectares (512 acres) of land, learning about the history of the resilient Métis and the ways they lived and survived for centuries. Then, you’ll meet Len, a local cattle rancher who will show you his herds of rare white bison while providing fascinating insights into family ranching. 3 | JASPER, AB

This morning, you’ll be treated to a helicopter excursion that touches down at Prairie Gardens Farm. After touring the farm’s 3,000 acres, you’ll settle at an al fresco longtable for a beautifully plated organic feast. In the evening, settle around the fire for a powerful drumming experience with a Knowledge Keeper from the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, who will share songs and legends that have been passed down through countless generations. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in a Lakefront Suite.

4 | JASPER, AB

After a leisurely day, you’ll embark on an evening tasting journey in downtown Jasper. The culinary experience includes stops at four restaurants to sample four dishes, each paired with an alcoholic beverage. Afterward, you can visit the Jasper Planetarium. Guided by astronomy staff, you’ll search for constellations and planets amid the darkest skies in the Canadian Rockies. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in a Lakefront Suite.

5 | LAKE LOUISE, AB

Today is all about the outdoors! Start with a half-day sightseeing excursion in Jasper National Park, the biggest park in the Rockies, complete with a private e-bike and picnic experience amid the lush wilderness. Next, you’ll drive to Lake Louise, visit various viewpoints, vistas and attractions along the way, including the dazzling Peyto Lake in Banff National Park. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in a Junior Suite Lakeview.

6 | LAKE LOUISE, AB

Today, fuel up with a hearty breakfast and meet your guide in the lobby. Together, you’ll head to the glacier-fed, brilliantly blue-green Moraine Lake for a heart-pumping hike. There are also opportunities to canoe, ride a gondola to the top of a mountain peak and traverse a glacier. Along the way, the guide will share fascinating information about the Rockies’ wildlife and ecology. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in a Junior Suite Lakeview.

7 | BANFF, AB

Today, you’ll drive to Banff and meet your Indigenous guide for a leisurely stroll in the forest, where you’ll learn about historical medicines of the boreal forest from a Cree lineage. Your guide will also teach you how to navigate basic first aid using only plants, as well as the basics of making medicine. Afterwards, you’ll head into Banff for lunch before driving to Canmore. In the afternoon, you’ll have the option to cave among 7,000-year-old fossils and pictographs. Accommodations are at The Malcolm Hotel in a Malcolm Executive King.

8 | KANANASKIS, AB

This morning, take the 30-minute drive to Kananaskis, where you’ll spend the morning canoeing across Barrier Lake, picnicking on its shores and e-biking on the trails back to your starting point. After all that exercise, it’s time to return to Canmore for dinner – we recommend a hearty meal paired with a flight of local craft beer. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. 9 | CALGARY, AB

Today, you’ll drive to Calgary, where you can visit the Yamnuska Wolf Dog Sanctuary on the way or eat your way around the city on a guided food tour. Then, it’s time for the journey home. Safe travels!
