The Itinerary

1 | ARRIVAL AT NIMMO BAY

Your journey begins in Vancouver, where a scenic flight over rugged coastline and misty fjords draws you away from the city. As you descend into a secluded bay, you’ll see Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort tucked between towering forest and the Pacific. Upon arrival, settle into your cabin, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame ocean views and every detail reflects the harmony of wilderness and comfort. The evening is yours to explore the lodge, enjoy a chef-prepared dinner, and ease into the rhythm of this remote coastal retreat. Accommodations are at Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort.

2 | COASTAL SAFARI

Today brings a signature Nimmo Bay adventure: a guided coastal safari through the wild heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. Cruise into quiet estuaries and remote fjords, watching for grizzlies and black bears combing the shoreline, bald eagles perched in cedar trees, and whales and sea lions moving through the rich waters. Along the way, your guide shares insight into the delicate ecosystems that sustain this region. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon to unwind with a glass of wine on the floating dock or soak in the hot tubs as the sun dips behind the mountains.

3 | DAY AT LEISURE

This day is designed for flexibility, giving you the freedom to follow your own pace. Rise early for a guided paddle along glassy inlets, join a naturalist-led hike into old-growth rainforest, or simply rest by the fire with a book in hand. Nimmo Bay’s floating sauna and hot tubs invite relaxation, while the spa offers treatments inspired by the elements around you. For the more adventurous, the lodge can arrange kayaking, paddleboarding, or even heli-accessed hikes (weather permitting). However you choose to spend the day, the goal is simple: connect deeply with this extraordinary setting.

4 | CULTURAL JOURNEY

With Hereditary Chief Mike Willie

Experience one of the most meaningful highlights of your stay: a cultural jet boat journey with Hereditary Chief Mike Willie, owner of Seawolf Adventures. As you travel ancestral waterways, Chief Willie shares powerful stories of Indigenous traditions, history, and community, bringing a deeper understanding of the land and its people. Along the way, you may glimpse wildlife along the riverbanks and stop at significant cultural sites.

5 | DEPARTURE

After a final breakfast at the lodge, bid farewell to Nimmo Bay and its unforgettable surroundings. Your return flight offers one last aerial perspective of British Columbia’s rugged coastline before bringing you back to Vancouver. From here, continue onward with memories of untouched wilderness, extraordinary wildlife encounters, and meaningful cultural connections that define this journey.
