Welcome to Yellowknife! A private transfer will deliver you to the Explorer Hotel, where the remainder of the afternoon is yours at leisure. In the evening you’ll embark on an unforgettable adventure with your guide away from city lights, offering prime views of the aurora borealis, and learn about the auroras’ formation and their significance in Indigenous culture. Delve into celestial knowledge, spotting constellations and planets while gazing at the mesmerizing night skies. Accommodations are at the Explorer Hotel in an Aurora Suite.
2 | YELLOWKNIFE, NWT
This morning you’ll pop into a local taxidermist and marvel at carefully preserved polar bears, muskox, grizzlies, lynx and other wildlife. The afternoon is yours at leisure, and you may wish to visit the NWT Brewing Co., where you can indulge in a flight of locally crafted beer. This evening you’ll embark on a fascinating ice fishing & aurora-viewing tour on Great Slave Lake. Snuggle up in cozy fishing huts, reel in catch-and-release fish, and marvel at the breathtaking aurora dancing overhead. Accommodations are at the Explorer Hotel in an Aurora Suite.

Begin your day at leisure, before embarking on a mid-day snowmobile adventure. Delve into the rugged beauty of the northern wilderness under expert guidance, zooming through frozen lakes and scenic trails while keeping an eye out for native wildlife. As night falls, prepare for another enchanting experience of aurora hunting. Venture into the wilderness with your knowledgeable guide in search of the mesmerizing Aurora Borealis, and witness the swirling colors of the northern lights painting the night sky. 4 | YELLOWKNIFE, NWT
This morning is yours at leisure before you set off on a private ice road expedition. Journey along the icy marvel of Dettah Ice Road, connecting Yellowknife to Dettah via the Great Slave Lake. Capture stunning sights like boat houses and the Snow Castle (admission not included), and discover local history while visiting the Indigenous community of Dettah. Afterwards, you’ll meet some furry (and friendly!) locals as you glide through frozen lakes and trails with champion sled dogs. Another evening ushers in what we hope is a spectacular aurora viewing.
