The Itinerary

1 | FAIRBANKS, AK

Your Alaskan journey begins in Fairbanks, known as the “Golden Heart City.” Upon arrival, board your hotel’s shuttle for a short transfer to your accommodations, located on the banks of the Chena River in the heart of downtown. Step out to explore riverfront trails and parks, or visit one of several nearby museums for an introduction to Alaska’s culture and history. With restaurants and pubs close at hand, your first evening offers the perfect chance to relax and settle in. Accommodations are at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fairbanks in a Suite.

2 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

After breakfast, board your hotel shuttle to the Fairbanks Railway Station and step aboard the Alaska Railroad’s Denali Star in GoldStar Service. From your glass-domed seat, take in sweeping views of forests, rivers, and rugged peaks while enjoying breakfast, beverages, and attentive service. On arrival in Denali, a shuttle will bring you to Denali Cabins, a peaceful retreat of cedar cabins tucked into the wilderness just south of the park entrance. Accommodations are at Denali Cabins.

3 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

Today, you’ll board a wheel plane for a scenic one-hour flight from the Denali Park entrance to Kantishna. Weather permitting, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of Denali’s snow-covered summit and the surrounding Alaska Range. Touching down deep within the park, you’ll arrive at one of its most remote and exclusive outposts — your base for the next three nights. Accommodations are at Camp Denali.

4 - 5 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

Spend the next two days exploring Denali’s vast wilderness with naturalist guides, choosing from a daily menu of outings tailored to your preferred pace. Hike across alpine ridgelines, paddle Wonder Lake, fish for Arctic grayling, or cycle along the remote park road. Independent adventures are always an option, or you may choose to linger in the lodge’s library or visit the on-site Natural History Resource Center. Each evening, enriching presentations by staff and guest experts offer deeper insight into the park’s unique ecology and history. Accommodations are at Camp Denali.

6 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

Today begins with a short flight from Camp Denali back to the Park Entrance, where you’ll be transferred back to Denali Cabins. Nestled just south of the entrance, this quiet cedar-cabin retreat offers modern comforts—private baths, hot tubs, wifi—and a chance to unwind in the wilderness without sacrificing convenience. Rest, explore nearby trails, or enjoy dinner onsite as the evening light softens over the peaks. Accommodations are at Denali Cabins.

7 | ANCHORAGE, AK

This morning, board a shuttle to the Denali Railway Station, where your GoldStar journey aboard the Alaska Railroad begins. Enjoy priority boarding, panoramic dome car views, and full meal service as you travel south through dramatic mountain passes, over soaring trestle bridges, and past remote wilderness. If skies are clear, keep your camera ready for one last glimpse of Denali. Upon arrival in Anchorage, a private driver will transfer you to your downtown hotel. Accommodations are at The Wildbirch Hotel.

8 | KATMAI NATIONAL PARK, AK

Today begins with a scenic seaplane flight from Anchorage to Katmai National Park, soaring over remote wilderness before touching down near Brooks Falls — famed for its remarkable bear viewing. Elevated boardwalks provide safe, up-close vantage points of Alaska brown bears fishing in the falls below. After a full day immersed in the wild, return to Anchorage by air and transfer back to your hotel. Accommodations are at The Wildbirch Hotel.

9 | GLACIER BAY, AK

This morning, take a shared shuttle to Lake Hood for a scenic flight through Lake Clark Pass to Twin Lakes, where you’ll spend a half-day exploring the site of Dick Proenneke’s famed wilderness cabin & Lake Clark National Park. After returning to Anchorage by air, transfer to the airport for your flight to Juneau (booked on own), then a short flight to Gustavus. A final transfer brings you to your base near Glacier Bay. Accommodations are at Glacier Bay’s Bear Track Inn.

10 | GLACIER BAY, AK

Today begins with a private e-bike and hike adventure through the quiet backroads and rainforest trails near Gustavus, offering the chance to spot moose, bears, and coastal wildlife along the way. In the afternoon, set out on a shared whale watching cruise to Point Adolphus, one of Southeast Alaska’s premier marine habitats, where humpbacks, sea lions, and orcas are often seen. Accommodations are at Glacier Bay’s Bear Track Inn.

11 | GLACIER BAY, AK

Today you’ll embark on a full-day shared cruise into the heart of Glacier Bay National Park, departing from Bartlett Cove. With a National Park Ranger on board, you’ll journey deep into the West Arm, where tidewater glaciers meet the sea and wildlife sightings may include whales, bears, sea lions, and mountain goats. Witness dramatic calving glaciers, shifting landscapes, and rich ecosystems—all from the comfort of your vessel. Accommodations are at Glacier Bay’s Bear Track Inn.

12 | JUNEAU, AK

After breakfast, you’ll board the Bear Track Inn shuttle for your shared transfer to the Gustavus Airport. From here, enjoy a short scenic flight back to Juneau.
