The Itinerary

1 | GIRDWOOD, AK

Whether you strap on some crampons and trek on a glacier, or rumble down a mountain on two wheels, let our team of specialists help you explore Alaska’s recreation capital, including by helicopter, dog sled, and a ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska in a glass-enclosed gondola to drink in the 360˚ views.

2-3 | GIRDWOOD, AK

After a short and scenic helicopter flight to a nearby ice field, you’ll receive a personal introduction to the sport of dogsledding. Your guide will explain the origins of this special breed of dogs, mushing history, and the Iditarod, known as “The Last Great Race on Earth”—then show you how to harness the dogs and take you onto the trail. You will have a chance to drive the sled yourself or sit in a comfortable seat and enjoy the ride. Accommodations are at The Hotel Alyeska, in a Deluxe Room.

On your third day your driver will transport you from the hotel to Anchorage International Airport in time for your departing flight. Safe travels!
