The Itinerary
1 | ANCHORAGE, AK
Welcome to Alaska! Your private driver will meet you at the Anchorage International Airport and deliver you to your hotel. Located conveniently in downtown Anchorage, this historic hotel is a short stroll from many cultural and historic sites as well as shops, parks and trails. The Crow’s Nest Restaurant offers fine dining with panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains. Should you prefer to explore other dining options, we’d be happy to provide recommendations and make reservations. Accommodations are at the Hotel Captain Cook in a Captain’s Deck Jr Suite.
2 | HALIBUT COVE, AK
This morning your driver will meet you for a scenic transfer to Homer. Along the way watch for wildlife such as eagles, moose and Dall sheep often visible from the roadside. You will be treated to spectacular views of the Cook Inlet, pristine rivers, volcanic mountains and historic villages along the way. From Homer Spit, the lodge boat will take you on a 25-minute cruise to the lodge. After settling in, explore the amenities prior to happy hour and your gourmet dinner. Accommodations are at Stillpoint Lodge in a One Bedroom Suite Cabin.
3 | HALIBUT COVE, AK
Fuel up for today’s adventure with a hearty made-to-order breakfast in the main lodge. Activities suited to a wide range of energy levels and interests are available, including guided hiking, sea kayaking, paddleboarding, bird watching, whale watching or tidepooling. If you prefer a more leisurely pace you may enjoy a massage, yoga and fitness training, or the soothing sounds of a waterfall from the cedar hot tub gazebo. Enhance your mindfulness with forest bathing or by walking the path of the labyrinth. Accommodations are at Stillpoint Lodge in a One Bedroom Suite Cabin.
4 - 5 | HALIBUT COVE, AK
The struggle will be how to choose from the many activities on offer for the next two days. You’ll select two of the following activities: flightseeing to view bears, saltwater fishing for halibut, rockfish or salmon; hike and kayak to Grewingk Glacier Lake, cruising the waterways of Halibut Cove in search of seals, otters, seabirds and possibly whales. Back at the lodge you’ll enjoy recounting the day’s adventure during cocktail hour, over the locally-sourced dinner or later in front of the fire. Accommodations are at Stillpoint Lodge in a One Bedroom Suite Cabin.
6 | ANCHORAGE, AK
After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, you’ll be picked up by seaplane for a scenic private flight to the Lake Hood Seaplane Base in Anchorage.
