The Itinerary

1 | ANCHORAGE, AK

On arrival at Anchorage International Airport, you will be met by your driver for your private transfer to your hotel. Hotel Captain Cook is a historic hotel with its own art collection chronicling the adventures of Captain James Cook as he mapped the coast of Alaska on his last voyage. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown. Take a stroll to see cultural or heritage sites, shops and parks. You could spot an eagle or a moose on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Accommodations are at the Hotel Captain Cook in Captain’s Deck Deluxe King Room.

2 | HALIBUT COVE, AK

This morning you will be met by your driver for your scenic transfer to Homer. The route will provide beautiful views of Turnagain Arm, quaint villages, towering mountains, and possibly some wildlife along the way. From Homer you’ll board a boat for the 25-minute journey across Kachemak Bay to Halibut Cove. After you’ve settled into your cabin you may want to get the lay of the land – check out the library, hot tub, sauna, gardens or shoreline before partaking in your gourmet dinner. Accommodations are at the Stillpoint Lodge in a One Bedroom Cabin.

3-4 | HALIBUT COVE, AK

Over the following two days, you’ll select from two of the following activities: flightseeing to view bears, saltwater fishing for halibut, rockfish or salmon, Grewingk Glacier Lake kayaking, or a wildlife cruise. No matter which of these adventures you select you’re sure to see an abundance of wildlife both on land and on the water. Back at the lodge you’ll enjoy recounting the day’s adventure during daily cocktail hour, over your gourmet dinner or later in front of the fire. Accommodations are at the Stillpoint Lodge in a One Bedroom Suite Cabin.

5 | HALIBUT COVE, AK

Your adventure continues with a variety of included activities suited to a wide range of energy levels and interests. Guided hiking, sea kayaking, paddleboarding, bird watching, whale-watching and tide-pooling are all available right from the lodge. If you crave relaxation you may enjoy a massage, yoga and fitness training, or the soothing sounds of a waterfall from the cedar hot tub gazebo. Enhance your mindfulness with forest bathing or by walking the path of the labyrinth. Accommodations are at the Stillpoint Lodge in a One Bedroom Suite Cabin.

6 | ANCHORAGE, AK

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, you’ll be picked up by seaplane for a scenic private flight to the Lake Hood seaplane terminal in Anchorage. In Anchorage you’ll enjoy a private sightseeing tour. The evening is yours at leisure to explore and choose from one of the fine restaurants or pubs to sample the local cuisine. We’d be pleased to offer recommendations or secure reservations for you. Accommodations are at the Hotel Captain Cook in a Captain’s Deck Deluxe King Room.

7 | TORDRILLO MOUNTAIN LODGE

Today you will take a scheduled shuttle to the Lake Hood seaplane terminal for a scheduled 40-minute flight to the backcountry, your base for the next few days at Judd Lake. Soon after arrival, a lodge orientation and safety briefing will be conducted. Afternoon activities may include a massage, yoga or fitness class, or water sports. Dinner will be served in the lodge, featuring seasonal local ingredients. Accommodations are at the Tordrillo Mountain Lodge in a Deluxe Guest Room or Cabin.

8 - 9 | TORDRILLO MOUNTAIN LODGE

Get ready for a rush of adrenaline as you enjoy two helicopter-facilitated adventures during your stay. Excursions to choose from include fishing, hiking, rafting or scaling the via ferrata. Access isolated freshwater fishing holes in search of all five species of Pacific Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char and Grayling. Visit the first via ferrata course in Alaska, not for the faint of heart! Scale 900 vertical feet using iron rungs and 1200 feet of cable, designed to provide panoramic views of Triumvirate Glacier all the way to the Tordrillo Mountains. Accommodations are at the Tordrillo Mountain Lodge in a Deluxe Guest Room or Cabin.

10 | ANCHORAGE, AK

After breakfast you will board your scheduled seaplane for a flight from Tordrillo Mountain Lodge to Lake Hood. From here a scheduled shuttle will transport you to Anchorage International Airport for your flight home. Safe travels!
