The Itinerary

1 | WHITEHORSE, YT

Welcome to Yukon! Upon your arrival to Erik Nielsen International Airport you’ll board a shared shuttle to your hotel. Tracing its roots to the Klondike Gold Rush era, this historical site boasts a vantage point overlooking the winding Yukon River. Positioned at the heart of the action, the Edgewater stands just steps away from offices, shops, parks, museums, galleries, and a diverse culinary scene. Accommodations are at the Edgewater Hotel in a Junior King Suite.

2 | DAWSON CITY, YT

Today you’ll board a commercial flight to Dawson City (approx. 1 hour 10 mins). Once settled, enjoy a private walking tour of Dawson City, led by your knowledgeable Parks Canada Guide. You’ll learn why Dawson City was aptly named ‘the Paris of the North’ and hear about its evolution as a Boomtown during the Klondike Gold Rush. This evening enjoy a private aurora experience in a traditional yurt outside Dawson City, free from light pollution. Accommodations are at the Aurora Inn in a King Suite.

3 | DAWSON CITY, YT

Embark on an unforgettable journey to Tombstone Territorial Park, spanning 2,200 square kilometers, revealing rugged peaks, captivating permafrost formations, and thriving wildlife habitat. Known as Ddhäl Ch’èl Cha Nän in the Hän language, translating to “ragged mountain land,” this area resides within the ancestral domain of the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Nation. Enjoy a serene picnic lunch and an invigorating snowshoe adventure before your return to Dawson City. This evening enjoy another round of aurora viewing with your friendly host in their yurt. Accommodations are at the Aurora Inn in a King Suite.

4 | DAWSON CITY, YT

Explore the serene Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Traditional Territory in winter on a guided snowmobile tour, designed for beginners, spanning the Frozen Yukon River and forest trails, with breaks for a warming lunch in a heated yurt. Later, delve deeper into the rich culture and history of the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in people by visiting local artist and storyteller Jackie Olson’s home. Engage in an interactive multimedia workshop, gaining insights into Jackie’s unique artistic style and absorbing captivating stories of her people’s heritage. Accommodations are at the Aurora Inn in a King Suite.

5 | DAWSON CITY, YT

This morning you’ll visit the Dawson City Museum, which houses some of Dawson City’s oldest artifacts. Chat with the museum’s director as you learn more about the Klondike Gold Rush, and the important role Dawson City played. Afterwards, a private transfer will deliver you to the airport for your return flight to Whitehorse. Upon your arrival, a shuttle will deliver you to your hotel, where the rest of the afternoon and evening is yours at leisure. Accommodations are at the Edgewater Hotel in a Junior King Suite.

6 | WHITEHORSE, YT

Today a shuttle will return you to Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport, where you’ll catch your return flight(s) home. Safe travels!
