The Itinerary

1 | BANFF, AB

Upon your arrival at Calgary airport you’ll enjoy a scenic transfer by private sedan to Banff. With towering turrets and a regal character, you’ll appreciate why the Fairmont Banff Springs is known as Canada’s “Castle in the Mountains.” The rest of the day you can enjoy exploring this luxury mountain resort. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Banff Springs in a Fairmont Gold Mountain View Room.

2 | BANFF, AB

Today, you’ll experience a sightseeing tour of the iconic Valley of the Ten Peaks. The day’s highlights begins with viewing one of Canada’s finest glacier fed lakes – Moraine! Admire the vibrant blue water and snow-capped peaks as you walk along the shoreline. Next, you’ll head to Yoho National Park. Named after a Cree First Nations word that translates to “awe”, you’ll experience this and more as you venture over Kicking Horse Pass towards the town of Field.

3 | KAMLOOPS, BC

Today is your first day on the world-renowned Rocky Mountaineer! Your journey begins with a shuttle to Banff Station where you will board the train around 7.40 am MT. Starting in the morning has its perks, you’ll be served a gourmet breakfast with extra helpings of exhilarating alpine views. Along with the premium service and informative commentary, highlights of the day include crossing the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, and Craigellachie. Upon arrival in Kamloops, you’ll have some time to explore the town and see where the north and south rivers meet. Accommodations are at a moderate hotel in Kamloops.

4 | VANCOUVER, BC

Your journey continues westwards as you depart Kamloops and continue to wind through the Rockies. Today you’ll be exploring the interior – the inner region of BC. When it’s time to pass through the Coast Mountains you’ll appreciate the grandeur and beauty of this stunning range. As you meander back to sea level, the Rocky Mountaineer hosts will explain the sheer feat of engineering that Canada’s first pioneers took on to complete this rail route. Finally, you’ll be offered panoramic views of the luscious Fraser Valley, until you arrive in Vancouver, otherwise known as the Greenest City! Accommodations are at the Wedgewood Hotel in a One Bedroom Suite.

5 & 6 | VANCOUVER, BC

A city known for its active lifestyle, it’s no surprise that Vancouver is best accessed on foot! Through an enthralling series of mini-walking tours, you’ll get an intimate introduction to areas such as picturesque English Bay and iconic Stanley Park – voted best in the world by TripAdvisor! Foodies will love visiting Granville Island Market where you can taste some of the finest delicacies that BC has to offer. Other highlights include delving into trendy Yaletown, authentic Chinatown, and a tour of Vancouver’s seeding neighborhood, Gastown.

On your sixth and final day, a private transfer will deliver you to the airport to catch your flight home. Safe travels!
