The Itinerary
1 | JUNEAU, AK
Welcome to Juneau! Upon your arrival, your private driver will be waiting to escort you the Jorgenson House, an elegant, family-owned retreat dating back to 1915. Nestled in a tranquil downtown neighborhood, this boutique B&B blends Alaskan history with luxury, within easy reach of Juneau’s dining, shops, and scenic trails. This evening, savor a specially prepared dinner by a private chef, welcoming you to Alaska in style.
2 | SOUTHEAST ALASKA
This morning, your driver will meet you at the hotel for a private transfer to your yacht. Departing Juneau, your adventure begins with a cruise through North Pass, where humpback whales often gather. Your captain will guide you past the historic Point Retreat Lighthouse at Admiralty Island’s northern tip, then down the stunning Chatham Strait toward Pavlof Harbor on Chichagof Island. This evening, anchor by a cascading waterfall, an ideal spot to observe bears as they come alive in the twilight—a quintessential Alaskan experience.
3 | SOUTHEAST ALASKA
After a morning bear viewing, your captain will chart a course south to Tenakee Inlet. If the salmon are running, try your hand at fishing for coho along the way. Upon entering the inlet, drop pots to catch Dungeness crab before an optional visit to Tenakee Springs, a charming village of about 100 residents on Chichagof Island, rich in history and local character. This evening, anchor in a sheltered cove, perfect for a serene paddle or kayak to end the day.
4 | SOUTHEAST ALASKA
Begin the day by pulling your crab pots as you depart Tenakee, with hopes of a fresh crab feast for dinner! Head south, keeping watch for humpback whales gathering to bubble-net feed. This afternoon, stop at Baranof Warm Springs, where a short hike leads to hot springs nestled along a scenic river—the perfect spot to unwind in natural, soothing pools. After your soak, continue south to the stunning fjord of Red Bluff Bay, where you’ll set shrimp pots with your guide before anchoring for the evening.
5 | SOUTHEAST ALASKA
Wake up in one of Alaska’s most breathtaking anchorages, Red Bluff Bay, known for its striking reddish-brown cliffs and rugged fjord landscape. Spend the morning pulling shrimp pots and taking in the scenery, with the promise of a fresh, local meal. In the afternoon, venture to a crew-favorite fishing spot to reel in halibut and troll for salmon. Then, round the southern tip of Admiralty Island and anchor in the serene Pybus Bay—a great spot for spotting whales.
6 | SOUTHEAST ALASKA
Today, embark on a rare adventure as The Alaskan Story takes you to the secluded Brothers Islands, a unique privilege reserved for few vessels. Stroll through these quiet, uninhabited islands, where Stephen’s Passage meets Frederick Sound, creating rich feeding grounds that attract an abundance of whales. As you depart, journey through Frederick Sound, renowned for some of Southeast Alaska’s most spectacular whale activity.
7 | SOUTHEAST ALASKA
Today, venture into the awe-inspiring Tracy Arm Fjords Wilderness, often called “Yosemite with glaciers.” Towering rock walls rise thousands of feet above iceberg-strewn waters as you make your way to the dramatic, calving face of a tidewater glacier—truly one of Alaska’s most breathtaking sights. After a day immersed in glacier views, head north to your final anchorage, where you can unwind with a cocktail chilled by glacier ice.
8 | JUNEAU, AK
This morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast on board as your captain lifts anchor and guides you back into Juneau’s harbor, arriving by late morning. As your unforgettable journey through Alaska’s wild beauty concludes, take with you cherished memories of towering fjords, abundant wildlife, and serene, secluded anchorages—a true adventure in the heart of nature.
