The Itinerary

1 | FAIRBANKS, AK

Upon your arrival at the Fairbanks Airport, a shuttle will deliver you to your hotel, where the remainder of the day is yours at leisure. Conveniently located adjacent to the Chena River, you may wish to go for a riverside stroll or explore the many shops and restaurants nearby. Accommodations are at the Springhill Suites Fairbanks in a Suite.

2 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

This morning your shuttle will transfer to the Railway Station, where you will board your GoldStar Dome Train for the Denali National Park entrance. The double-deck railcar features a glass-covered observation deck that is the first of its kind in the world, offering jaw-dropping views. You will be met at the railway station for your brief shuttle into the park. Accommodations are at the Grande Denali Lodge in a View Room.

3 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

Following a hearty breakfast, today’s excitement begins. Opt for a private hiking journey or an exhilarating rafting expedition, or indulge in a seamless fusion of both amidst Denali’s awe-inspiring scenery. Feel the exhilaration as you navigate the river’s twists and turns, selecting from gentle Class I and II rapids or the adrenaline-pumping challenge of Class III/IV. On land, tailor your hike to your liking, whether it’s a leisurely stroll along well-maintained trails or venturing off the beaten path into the rugged alpine tundra. Accommodations are at the Grande Denali Lodge in a View Room.

4 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

This morning a shared five-and-a-half-hour wilderness tour will take you deep into the park, as you traverse 43 miles of captivating landscapes and diverse wildlife habitats. Following your wilderness tour, you’ll meet your pilot for a scenic flight tour over Denali National Park. Soar over the North Face of Denali and a number of side glaciers. Denali National Park & Preserve features North America’s highest peak, the 20,320-foot-tall Denali, and you have a front-row seat! Accommodations are at the Grande Denali Lodge in a View Room.

5 | DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK

Today’s journey begins with a shared shuttle transfer from Grande Denali Lodge to Denali Railway Station, where you’ll board the iconic Alaska Railroad’s Denali Star for an unforgettable trip to Anchorage in GoldStar Service. Experience luxury with upper-level dome car seating, exclusive dining, and breathtaking panoramic views of Alaska’s rugged landscapes. Once you arrive at the railway station, a private transfer will deliver you to your hotel. Accommodations are at Hotel Captain Cook in a Deluxe King Room.

6 | KACHEMAK BAY, AK

Today your driver will meet you at your hotel for your private transfer to Lake Hood. Your scenic floatplane journey is a mix of jaw-dropping coastal and mountain vistas. Upon arrival, you’ll meet with your guide to customize the afternoon to your preferences—whether that means an invigorating hike through Kachemak Bay State Park, a peaceful paddle in the fjord, or simply a glass of wine by the bay. Once you’re settled, take time to explore the lodge before enjoying a gourmet lunch. Accommodations are at the Tutka Bay Lodge in a Cabin.

7-8 | KACHEMAK BAY, AK

Over the next two days, you’ll have the opportunity to select two lodge-based excursions, reserved in advance. Options include bear viewing in remote wilderness; deep sea fishing for halibut or salmon in the waters of Kachemak Bay; a scenic marine cruise in search of whales, sea otters, puffins, and more; an aerial adventure by helicopter or seaplane to glaciers and backcountry ridgelines; or a culinary immersion featuring foraging, farm visits, and hands-on cooking with local chefs. Accommodations are at Tutka Bay Lodge in a Cabin.

9 | ANCHORAGE, AK

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll board your seaplane transfer from Tutka Bay Lodge to Lake Hood in Anchorage. From Lake Hood, a private transfer will deliver you to the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Safe travels!
