Winter Alaska wilderness vacation – the experience:

Alaska’s winters are harsh and spectacular and this journey celebrates them in the most sensational way. You’ll be taking a ski-plane from the state’s largest city to Winterlake Lodge, one of the few fly-in lodges that are open year-round. The cabins are located on mile 198 of the famously grueling Iditarod dog sled circuit – snow and ice are part of the experience here! Try mushing with huskies on the surrounding trails, heli-skiing the Tordrillo Mountains, or culinary classes using local ingredients at your remote refuge. On this trip, you can enjoy the winter your way – your experience is entirely customized. For an Alaska wilderness vacation that reveres the cold months in tailored comfort, this is for you.
