The Itinerary

1 | MONTREAL, QC

Arrive in Montréal and collect your rental vehicle before making your way into Old Montréal. Settle into your hotel overlooking Place Jacques-Cartier, where historic façades, cafés, and the Old Port are just steps away. The evening is yours to ease into the city—perhaps a relaxed dinner or a walk along the river as Montréal begins to reveal its rhythm. Accommodations are at Hotel William Gray.

2 | MONTREAL, QC

This morning, a private walking tour introduces Montréal’s layered past, tracing its evolution from French settlement to modern cultural hub. As you explore cobblestone streets and landmark sites, the city’s character begins to take shape. The afternoon is left open—whether that means exploring neighbourhoods like Mile End or the Plateau, sampling local cuisine, or taking in views from Mount Royal.

3 | SAINT-PAULIN, QC

The landscape begins to shift as you leave Montréal behind, trading city streets for open countryside. En route, a traditional sugar shack experience brings Québec’s maple heritage to life—complete with a hearty meal, music, and long-standing culinary traditions. Continue into the Mauricie region, where forest and river landscapes set a quieter tone for the days ahead. Accommodations are at Le Baluchon.

4 | SAINT-PAULIN, QC

Spend the day at your own pace within the grounds of Le Baluchon. Forest trails, river access, and open space invite time outdoors—whether hiking, cycling, or paddling along the water. The Nordic spa offers a slower rhythm, while optional guided experiences provide a deeper connection to the surrounding landscape.

5 | QUEBEC CITY, QC

A scenic drive leads to Wendake, where a guided visit to the Huron-Wendat Museum and traditional longhouse offers insight into the culture, stories, and lived history of the Huron-Wendat Nation. The experience is intimate and grounded, offering a perspective that stays with you. From here, continue on to Québec City, where stone architecture and river views define the setting. Accommodations are at Auberge Saint-Antoine.

6 | QUEBEC CITY, QC

A private walking tour reveals Québec City’s historic core, where narrow streets, fortified walls, and centuries-old buildings create one of North America’s most distinctive settings. The afternoon is yours to explore further—boutiques, galleries, museums, or simply time spent wandering and taking in the atmosphere.

7 | QUEBEC CITY, QC

A guided excursion to Île d’Orléans offers a closer look at Québec’s agricultural and artisanal traditions. Visits with local producers and tastings of regional specialties are paired with sweeping views over the St. Lawrence River. A relaxed lunch and a stop at a family-run vineyard round out the day before returning to Québec City.

8 | NORTH HATLEY, QC

Today, the drive south reveals a softer, pastoral landscape of rolling hills, lakes, and quiet villages as you enter the Eastern Townships. Along the way, the region’s agricultural roots become apparent, with small farms, vineyards, and local producers shaping the character of the landscape. Arriving at Manoir Hovey on the shores of Lake Massawippi, the pace shifts once again—refined, calm, and connected to its surroundings. Accommodations are at Manoir Hovey.

9 | NORTH HATLEY, QC

Spend the day enjoying Lake Massawippi—whether paddling, boating, or simply taking in the stillness from the shoreline—or set out to explore the surrounding countryside. Options range from hiking and cycling to golf and visits to nearby villages, where local cheesemakers, vineyards, and small farms reflect the region’s strong agricultural roots. Back at the manor, the pace slows once more, with time to enjoy the setting, the cuisine, and the quiet refinement that defines this lakeside retreat.

10 | MONTREAL, QC

Return to Montréal by car, with a scenic drive of approximately two hours through the Eastern Townships’ rolling countryside. Along the way, pass through small villages, farmland, and vineyard-dotted landscapes that offer a final glimpse into Québec’s quieter side. Continue to Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, where you will return your rental vehicle and prepare for your onward journey. Safe travels
