Today you’ll experience a sleigh ride around stunning Lake Louise. Like something out of a postcard, you’ll be swaddled under blankets and transfixed by the soothing sound of hoofs on freshly packed snow. Enjoy views of the Ice Falls and surrounding mountains as you follow the trail beneath Victoria Glacier. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure. 3 | LAKE LOUISE, AB
This action-packed day begins with plenty of slobbery kisses from new furry friends. Enjoy meeting expert dogsledders and learn how to mush your very own pack! After a brief orientation you’ll take to the trails with your enthusiastic team of Alaskan Huskies. After a thorough ride you’ll head into Banff for a privately guided tour of the historic Banff townsite before enjoying lunch on your own. After lunch enjoy a short ride to the base of Sulphur Mountain where you’ll board the Banff Gondola to take in the stunning and expansive views of six mountain ranges as well the Bow and Spray Valleys. Accommodations are at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in a Lakeview Suite.
4 | JASPER, AB
Today your private SUV will transfer you from Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise to Jasper, with an exciting stop on the way. Hop in a private helicopter for a magical winter tour over the snowy Rocky Mountains. Soar over Cline Pass, and glide right by the Cline, Lion and Lioness glaciers. As if the impressive bird’s eye view isn’t enough, your pilot will gently land you in the backcountry for an hour of leisurely snowshoeing through untouched powder. After a hot beverage (Bailey’s optional!) it’s time to re-board your heli for your stunning return trip, with a hot lunch waiting for you at base camp. Today you’ll enjoy a privately guided wildlife tour of Jasper National Park. You won’t find moose, elk or deer hibernating in the winter, despite the chilly conditions. Learn about the history of the park, the flora and fauna hidden under the snow as well as the animals native to the region. The afternoon is yours at leisure, visit the on-site planetarium or try fat tire biking along marked trails towards Lake Annette. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in a Whistler Cabin.
