PLAN YOUR TRIP

Winter is Quebec’s favourite season – and after you explore the region’s enchanting seasonal landscape, it will become yours, too. This six-day itinerary is jam-packed with local culinary traditions, historic explorations, and adventures in the snow. Whether journeying through Montréal’s storied past, sampling the sweet offerings of a cabane à sucre, or visiting the Huron-Wendat First Nation community of Wendake, this unforgettable adventure will broaden your perspective of Quebec’s wintertime offerings.

The Itineraries

We have two amazing itineraries… Explore them both below.

1 | MONTRÉAL, QC

Your first introduction to Quebec is dazzling Montréal. Upon arrival at the airport, your driver will take you to your home base for the night, the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Montréal. Spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding Golden Square Mile, home to mountainside mansions and glamorous public buildings. Pop into the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts, which frequently hosts blockbuster exhibitions featuring prominent European artists, or browse the high-end boutiques for splurge-worthy fashion finds. Accommodations are at the Ritz-Carlton Montréal in a Signature King Room.

2 | SAINT-ALEXIS-DES-MONTS, QC

Spend the morning becoming better acquainted with Old Montréal on a guided walking tour. The outing includes a visit to the Old Montréal Distillery for a visit and whisky tasting. Then, it’s onward to Dany’s Sugar Shack – a picture-perfect cabane à sucre that serves a traditional Quebecois winter feast: ham, omelet, pea soup, potatoes, and of course a hearty selection of delicacies made with local maple syrup. After lunch, you’ll be taken to Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc, a family-owned resort straddling the mountainous regions of Mauricie and Lanaudière. Upon arrival, take time to explore the snowy tableaux with an option to hop aboard a helicopter and see the sights from above. Accommodations are at Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc in a Two Bedroom Cottage.

3 | SAINT-ALEXIS-DES-MONTS, QC

Spend the day embracing the many outdoor offerings at Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc. Snowmobile over a pristine carpet of snow, dogsled with a team of affectionate canines, learn ice fishing techniques and prepare your catch over a bonfire, and climb aboard the resort’s Snowmobile Bombardier B12 – the first vehicle to ever travel in the snow – for a ’40s-era ride. In the evening, retreat to the resort’s rustic restaurant for a symphony of flavourful dishes. Accommodations are at Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc in a Two Bedroom Cottage.

4 | WENDAKE, QC

This morning, you’ll depart Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc for the famed Hôtel du Glace, an exquisite property carved entirely out of ice. After checking out the glittering accommodations, continue your journey to the Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations in Wendake, a Huron-Wendat First Nation community. Upon arrival in Wendake, embark on a private Myths and Legends experience, where you’ll hear drumming and stories in a traditional longhouse and sample Labrador tea and fire-roasted bannock. Then, tour Musée Huron-Wendat, which is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of a nation that has lived on the Nionwentsio territory for millennia. End the day with a five-course Indigenous feast, created by a Michelin-starred chef. Accommodations are at the Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations in a Wendat Room.

5 | QUEBEC CITY, QC

After breakfast, your driver will take you to Quebec City, where you’ll explore the historic surroundings with a local guide. During your time in the Old City, you’ll investigate the streets, which are lined with stone buildings and populated by horse-drawn carriages. The tour includes stops at iconic places like Place d’Armes, the Notre-Dame Basilica, Holy Trinity Church and Place Royale. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac in a Fairmont Gold Signature Room.

6 | QUEBEC CITY, QC

Your trip to Quebec ends with a day of leisurely exploring before a private transfer to the airport. But this doesn’t mean goodbye – Quebec will be waiting when you decide to return.
