The Itinerary

1 | VANCOUVER, BC

Upon your arrival at the Vancouver Airport, a private transfer will deliver you to your hotel downtown. The remainder of the day is yours at leisure. Discover Robson Street’s shops, go for a dip in English Bay, or watch the seaplanes land in Coal Harbour. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in a Deluxe Partial Harbour View Room.

2 | VANCOUVER, BC

Today a half-day tour of Vancouver will introduce you to the culture, history and neighborhoods that this beautiful city has to offer. Visiting the tall totems in Stanley Park, the trendy streets of Yaletown, and the historic cobbled lanes of Gastown, you will learn all about the different faces of Vancouver. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. Hungry? We’d be delighted to provide you with restaurant recommendations or reservations. Accommodations are at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in a Deluxe Partial Harbour View Room.

3 | GREAT BEAR RAINFOREST, BC

A scheduled flight will transport you from Vancouver to Port Hardy, from where you will catch a seaplane flight to the Great Bear Rainforest. En route, enjoy views of the breathtaking central coast and the rich waters of Queen Charlotte Strait. Accommodations are at Great Bear Lodge.

4-5 | GREAT BEAR RAINFOREST, BC

Each early morning and late afternoon you’ll head to a different viewing site, either in the estuary, or along the river. A typical viewing session lasts three hours, and each blind has been constructed with the photographer in mind, with comfortable spots from which to view bears. There is nothing quite like seeing your first grizzly emerge from the forest. When you’re not spotting bears enjoy an interpretive rainforest walk where you learn about the local flora and fauna. Return to the lodge each night for a wilderness-inspired gourmet meal. Accommodations are at the Great Bear Lodge.

6 | PORT HARDY, BC

After a parting session with the bears, enjoy lunch at the lodge before returning to Port Hardy, where you will be transferred to your hotel overlooking the inner harbour. Accommodations are at the Kwa’lilas Hotel.

7 | VANCOUVER, BC

Today you will make your own way back to the Port Hardy Airport for your flight back to the Vancouver International Airport. Safe travels!
