Far & Away

Our 2021 Collection of new Alaskan Experiences:

From the vast reaches of Canada’s Arctic to the wide-open valleys of Alaska’s famed Denali, we’re always on the lookout for new and awe-inspiring journeys to share with our guests. We have developed this new collection to feature a new lens through which to view Alaska’s wilderness.

Our focus in 2021 is on experiences that bring us back to nature, connecting us with the earth and those around us – and do it in such a way that leaves our guests feeling safe, inspired and renewed. The collection below features journeys across the great state of Alaska, with an emphasis on wide open spaces, bucket-list wildlife viewing (we have our own Big Five you can witness!) and great northern hospitality found only in The Last Frontier.

Luxury Meets Wilderness Adventure

This seven-day journey will take you from historic Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city to a remote yet luxurious wilderness resort on the rugged shores of Halibut Cove. You’ll learn about the culture and history of the region, have the opportunity to experience authentic basecamp hospitality and choose from a wide range of guided adventures.

National Parks Odyssey

This National Parks Odyssey is 19 days of pure Alaskan adventures! You’ll explore via air, train, boat and on foot as you uncover what makes Alaska truly magical. Take in the ice calving in Glacier Bay National Park, spot Dall’s sheep as you soar over Lake Clark National Park, and watch bears hunting for salmon at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park. Look for humpback whales bubble-net feeding in the Kenai Fjords, enjoy the scenery on Alaska Railroad’s Coastal Classic, and even hike a glacier!

The Edge of Wilderness Retreat

The Edge of Wilderness Retreat takes you on a ten day Alaskan adventure to two unique wilderness lodges. Using Anchorage as a hub, you’ll travel primarily by seaplane, helicopter, and boat as you get to the heart of the Alaskan wilderness. You’ll have the opportunity to view wildlife, hike on glaciers, cast a line in a stream or ocean, or indulge yourself with a wellness treatment. Whatever you choose, this trip will yield a lifetime of unforgettable memories.

Gourmet Juneau

Believe it or not, The Last Frontier is known for more than its vast national parks, scenic vistas and outdoor adventures. Alaska boasts a burgeoning food scene with a focus on local, sustainable and approachable cuisine. Feast on ocean-to-table fare in Alaska’s capital city of Juneau, prepare a meal alongside a local chef during a personalized cooking class and learn why Vogue has proclaimed Southeast Alaska to have ‘America’s most interesting food scene’.

National Parks Adventure

This superlative 11-day journey will take you to two of Alaska’s National Parks, Denali and Kenai Fjords. You’ll experience adventure at all turns – viewing wildlife, towering mountains, glaciers and the wide-open tundra of the “Last Frontier”. You’ll travel on the iconic Alaska Railroad Dome Train, fly hver glaciers in a bush plane, raft amongst glacier icebergs, and even explore snowfields on a heli-hike. Each day brings a new adventure on a trip of a lifetime.

As you explore, you may encounter bears, moose, mountain goats, whales, sea lions, otters or bald eagles.

Alaskan Aurora at the Chalet

Immerse yourself in the magical aurora, viewed from deep in the heart of Denali. This journey features two unique properties and an unforgettable Alaskan experience. Sheldon Chalet was rated by TIME Magazine as one of 2018’s ‘World’s Greatest Places’ , and for good reason. The only privately owned land inside Denali National Park & Preserve, it sits at an elevation of 6,000ft and offers jaw-dropping panoramic views of the surrounding Ruth Glacier and mountains. Belle’s Cabin in the heart of Talkeetna offers a cozy and quintessentially Alaskan home base for explorations.
