Luxury Winter Holidays Canada
Everyone knows that Canada is a winter wonderland. At Entrée Canada, we specialize in delivering the most extraordinary, quintessential Canadian experiences—with style, and in a way that will make you feel you’ve seen the real Canada. We’ll take you dogsledding and show you the aurora borealis. We’ll get you up close and personal with polar bears and other Arctic wildlife, whisk you onto a glacier, and guide you around the remarkable national parks of the Rockies. Everywhere, we partner with hotels and resorts, guides and other locals to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible—whether you’re at the Four Seasons or a yurt on the Tundra.
Rocky Mountain Winter Vacations
With four interlocking national parks—teeming with glaciers, peaks, canyons, and waterfalls—comprising a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and boasting the world-famous mountain towns of Lake Louise, Jasper and Banff, the Canadian Rockies abound with opportunities for sightseeing and adventure. The number and type of programs we can put together for winter enthusiasts is infinite: walk around a glacial lake, go dogsledding along the Continental Divide, drive the Columbia Icefields Parkway, or stay at such iconic destinations as Château Lake Louise. Better yet, do it all on our Rockies Winter Wonderland, a trip that unites active highlights with the easy pace of a self-driven tour.
West Coast Winter
There’s more to Whistler than just skiing and snowboarding—though we acknowledge they’re pretty strong draws. For families and adventure buffs, there’s also snowshoeing, dogsledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ziptrekking and more—all just a stone’s throw from the charming pedestrian village and its world-class hotels and restaurants. Best of all, it’s just a two-hour drive up the Sea to Sky highway from cosmopolitan Vancouver—which offers its own outdoor and cultural delights. Check out our West Coast Winter package to get an idea of the possibilities.
Polar Bear Viewing
What’s white, weighs up to 1500 pounds, and congregates along the coast of Hudson Bay each fall? The answer of course is the world’s largest predator—the stunning, deceptively cuddly-looking polar bears that await the freezing of the Bay in anticipation of their annual hunt. Naturally, that makes this area north of Churchill one of the greatest places on Earth for photographing the bears and other Arctic wildlife. On our Polar Bear Photo Shoot Safari, we drop you into this untrammelled wilderness to explore and photograph the Great Ice Bears with pristine backdrops of sea and snow. Your base is a fly-in wilderness lodge located, naturally, on the Seal River. Landscapes don’t get more remote—or dramatic.
Yukon Winter Holiday
If there are two things synonymous with Canada’s north (okay, not including polar bears), we think they’d have to be dog sledding and the Northern Lights. Viewing the aurora borealis is one of those can’t-miss life experiences, and we make it all the more special by taking you to a remote camp where the views are unimpeded. Accommodations are in either rustic cabins or glass-domed yurts—perfect for viewing one of the greatest shows on Earth from your own comfy bed. Check out our Aurora Borealis Experience for more details. Alternatively—if learning to mush is more your thing—let us design a trip that features Dogsledding in Canada’s North. You’d be based out of the same cabins and cozy yurts, surrounded by pristine wilderness, and your instruction would go from basic to advance mushing in a matter of days! Of course, the complements to your time on the trail might be just as enticing—snowshoeing, wildlife viewing, evening saunas, and dinner around the wood stove are just a few of the options. |

Aurora Borealis Experience
This 6-day/ 5-night trip is focused on offering you the ultimate aurora borealis experience. Following two nights in Vancouver—and the chance to explore the city on your own—you’ll fly up to Whitehorse for three nights of Northern Lights viewing. Based out of Uncommon Journeys Wilderness Lodge, you’ll spend a night at The Homestead before heading into the wilderness proper for two nights at the Yurt Camp, where your tents feature glass dome ceilings. The Ibex River Valley is a fantastic place to watch the Aurora Borealis, and we often lay out on the valley floor dressed in parkas on top of sleeping mats, while watching nature’s breathtaking show. Rounding out your Yukon experience will be opportunities to hike, fish, and learn about dogsledding.
